Privacy policy

Short version: the app collects nothing. The website keeps a short-lived server log, and your email only if you give it.

The app

The Stitchlight web app runs entirely in your browser. Everything you enter (settings, projects, trips, counts) is stored in your browser's local storage or database on your device. It is not sent to us or anyone else. The app makes no requests to third parties, loads no analytics and sets no cookies. You can verify this in your browser's network tab. Clearing site data deletes it.

If you press a button to use your location or compass, the browser asks permission, and the data stays on your device.

This website

• Server logs. The web server records the time, IP address, requested address and browser identifier of each request, for security and debugging. Logs are kept for about 14 days and then deleted. We do not use them for analytics.
• No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no third-party scripts or fonts.

Launch list and contact form

If you submit your email to the native app launch list, we store the email address, the app name, the date and a short-lived rate-limit record on our server. We use it only to send you one message when the native app is ready. If you use the contact form we store your message and email so we can reply. To delete your email, use the contact form and say so; we will remove it.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data.
