w&t: Wrap and turn

Used in short rows: slip the next stitch to the right needle, bring the yarn to the other side, return the stitch to the left needle and turn the work. Short rows shape fabric by turning before the end of the row, which adds length in one area, for example for sock heels or shawl wedges.

How to work w&t

Used in short rows: slip the next stitch to the right needle, bring the yarn to the other side, return the stitch to the left needle and turn the work. This prevents a hole at the turn.
